Sessions and payment
Individual counseling sessions will be 60 minutes in duration. Session fees must be paid on the day in which services are rendered. These fees may be paid in the form of cash, check, or credit card. I will be happy to assist you with any insurance or payment questions.
I do reserve several reduced-fee slots for clients through Open Path Collective. You can contact me to see if I have an slots currently open.
Insurance
I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield. I will file all claims for clients with BCBS insurance. If you would like to file for out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a superbill upon request. I suggest that clients contact their insurance company before their first session to verify coverage of mental health services and gather information on co-pays and deductibles.
Cancellation & late arrival POlicy
Should you need to cancel an appointment, a 24-hour notice is required in order to avoid the session fee. Any session missed without a 24-hour notice (barring emergencies) may result in the full session fee. If you are going to be late for your session, please notify me. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your session may need to be rescheduled and you may be charged the full session fee. Please be aware that insurance companies will not pay for late cancellation or no-show fees and you will be responsible for the full amount.
Confidentiality
I will keep confidential anything you say as part of our counseling relationship, with the following exceptions: (a) you direct me in writing to disclose information to someone else, (b) it is determined you are a danger to yourself or others (including child or elder abuse), or (c) I am ordered by a court to disclose information.
No Surprises Act
As of January 1, 2022 providers are now required to issue a Good Faith Estimate to clients seeking services that are either out of network or private pay. To learn more, go here.
